What Is Premium SMS?

Premium SMS is based on the use of SMS shortcode numbers, e.g. 80010, in conjunction with Keywords and, in some cases reverse billed charges, to provide a range of marketing campaigns and services to mobile phones. It can be used as an effective revenue generator but is increasingly used as a means of building an opt-in mailing list for future marketing activities.
